For over 15 years I have been involved with the traditional instruments and vocal arts from Mongolia, with specific focus on the world famous "throat singing" (also called"khoomei"). These throat singing techniques are mainly found in Tuva, Mongolia and some surrounding areas.
The workshop starts with a short explanation of different kinds of throat singing techniques, singing in overtones in general and demonstrating these techniques (with and without an instrument).
We discover our voice in a very different way. That's why it's try, listen and try again. It is not easy. But it is a lot of fun!
