Voices from Tuva — Live Concert in Ruigoord, Amsterdam
A rare and powerful performance by four master throat singers from Tuva, in the magical setting of Ruigoord, Amsterdam. Tickets online soon!

Throat singing, or Khoomei, is an ancient singing technique where one singer produces multiple tones at the same time. On September 4, four top musicians from Tuva will bring this unique art form live to the Netherlands.
Igor Koshkendey, one of Tuva's most respected throat singers, performs with his son Choldug, and the young masters Dalai Damdyn and Dongak Naidan. Together, they form a powerful ensemble that takes you into the sound world of the vast steppes, mountains and rivers of Central Asia.
Be enchanted by overtones, various throat singing techniques, traditional instruments such as the igil (string instrument), doshpuluur (lute) and mouth harp, and the power of the human voice!
Ruigoord's iconic church provides the perfect setting for this unique concert: a place where the raw energy of art, spirituality and freedom comes together. The powerful sounds of Tuvan throat singing — deep, meditative and intense — get an extra dimension here.
This concert in Ruigoord is the ensemble's only public performance in the Randstad and thus an exceptional opportunity to experience this rare form of music live. Let yourself be taken on a musical journey filled with overtones, rhythmic lute sounds and ancient traditions from the heart of Central Asia.
