Cancellation policy and general terms

On this page, you'll find our terms and conditions for cancelling stays, workshops and retreats. Of course, we hope it's not necessary, but if you do have to cancel, you can read what the options are here.

1. Cancellation policy for stays (B&B, yurt or other accommodation)

Our properties are rented via platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com, as well as directly, on an invoice basis. The terms and conditions are similar, although they may vary slightly via the platforms mentioned.

Cancellation policy for direct booking (via invoice):

  • Cancellation up to 5 days before arrival: 90% of the total amount will be reimbursed.
  • Cancellation within 5 days before arrival: We reserve the right to charge:
    • Full payment for nights already spent
    • 1 extra night
    • 40% of the cost of all remaining nights

2. Cancellation policy for workshops (afternoon or two-day)

Cancellation by participant:

  • Up to 6 weeks before the start: Free cancellation; the full amount will be refunded.
  • Within 6 weeks before the start: Refunds are only possible if we can fill your spot with another participant.

Cancellation by Altai:

  • In case of too few registrations, we reserve the right to cancel the workshop. In that case, you will receive the full amount back.
  • In case of force majeure (such as illness, extreme weather, etc.), we will work together to find an appropriate solution, such as moving the workshop or a voucher.
  • We are not liable for additional costs such as booked trips or insurance. We recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance yourself.

3. Cancellation policy for multi-day workshops or retreats

The conditions are the same as those of our short workshops:

Cancellation by participant:

  • Up to 6 weeks before the start: full refund.
  • Within 6 weeks: refund only if your spot is filled.

Cancellation by Altai:

  • In case of too few participants or force majeure, the retreat can be canceled. In that case, we offer a full refund or an appropriate alternative (such as transfer or credit).
  • We are not responsible for additional costs such as travel or insurance. Take out appropriate insurance for this yourself.
