Exclusive & Intimate Tuvan Throat Singing Concert at Altai Yurt

A unique evening with four Tuva masters. Intimate, personal and up close — including traditional milk tea, snacks & treats and music you won't experience anywhere else.

A rare and intimate musical experience

On Friday evening, September 6, Altai Yurt is organizing a one-off living room concert of exceptional class. Four top musicians from far away Tuva (Southern Siberia) give a exclusive performance for only 50 guests. This is not a theater, not a remote stage, but an intimate musical encounter — acoustic, up close, and profound.

The singers are masters at Khoomei — the impressive art of throat singing, where one voice produces multiple tones at the same time. They accompany themselves on traditional instruments such as the igil (string instrument), doshpular (lute) and mouth harp. This evening, you'll immerse yourself in sounds that seem to come directly from the vast steppes and mountains of Central Asia.

A welcoming experience like in Central Asia

In Tuva and Mongolia, entertaining guests is a ritual in itself. That's why we welcome you with a cup traditional milk tea, served with tasty snacks, in a warm, atmospheric space. There is room for conversation, encounter and wonder — including an informal meet & greet with the musicians after the concert.

This concert is part of a very limited tour by the musicians in the Netherlands and offers a unique opportunity to experience this ancient singing tradition up close, in a private, personal setting.
