Throat Singing Workshop

Weekend “Throat Singing & Overtones” with Mongolian guest musician

Extra special! This weekend accompanied by Mandakh from Mongolia and Rowan Hartsuiker. The perfect way to immerse yourself in the art of throat singing and overtone singing for 2 days.

Discover the magic of overtones and guttural singing

Have you always been curious about overtones and throat singing? During this special weekend workshop, you will learn the techniques behind these vocal arts in a relaxed and inspiring setting under the guidance of Mandakh and Rowan. Mandakh is a professional Mongolian musician and music teacher specializing in Mongolian throat singing and horse-headed violin. We would like to welcome you to make music together, learn and also enjoy the rich Mongolian culture. Curious about what such a weekend looks like? Read it in our blog post ”Experience the magic of Throat Singing & Overtones in a Weekend Workshop

The program in a nutshell

On Saturday, we welcome you with a cup of traditional Mongolian milk tea at 1pm. The first workshop starts around 2 p.m., where you'll discover the basics of overtones and throat singing. After a delicious Mongolian dinner, the second workshop follows in the evening. Afterwards, there is time to relax, play music or, in good weather, enjoy an atmospheric campfire.

On Sunday morning, we start with a typical Mongolian breakfast, followed by a walk on our neighbor's beautiful estate, where the third workshop takes place (or inside, in case of worse weather). After lunch, we'll end the afternoon with a final workshop to bring together and deepen everything you've learned.

A weekend of music, culture and inspiration!
